Had an hour to get out before heading back to the upstate after a deer hunting weekend in the low-country of SC...and boy! Am I glad I did. One of the best days in this field for such a short hunt!

Confederate Cast I, 1864 2 Cent Piece, 1867 Shield Nickel, 1903 Indian Head Cent

Very nice hunt. I have found only one solid cast Infantry button and it is one of my favorites. How is Russ? Was he hunting the site too? I haven’t seen him post in quite a while. You guys finding the virgin British camp was one of the best posts I have seen here!
Keith

No, he wasn't with me. He's doing great. Moved into a new house recently and finishing up high school football season. We hope to get back at it soon. Yes, the British camp was something else.

Great job! Does anyone else find it odd that the 2 cent coin is larger than the nickel? Also i would think that the bronze would be a more expensive metal. I just thought of that because you have them next to each other. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome finds! Congrats

Very well done.

The I button is really sweet!
