Had the pleasure today to go detecting with my father in law and witness him make an amazing once in a lifetime find. A button that I have searched for for almost twenty years that has still managed to elude me but I feel so fortunate to be able to share and witness his find . Funny that I made a comment to him yesterday that he would probably find one today because I’ve had two people hunting with me find one but I’ve yet to walk over one . Sure enough ... he did . So glad he did and I got to share this moment with him and such a special piece of history. Just had to share this .

Good for your father-in-law, and good for you as well. I say that because as you said, you have hoped for one of those for 20 years, and yet when he found it you were just as happy for him (almost as much as you might have been for yourself) and glad that you were there to see and be a part of it, and perhaps thinking, well.....where one has been found, maybe.....point is I've hunted with people that I to was happy for when they found something really good even though I did not but I was there to see it and be part of it, but I have also hunted with a couple of fella's before that seemed somewhat really put out because I made a great find where they pretty much came up empty. So again, good for him, AND good for you to there 298.

Very well said , thank you !
