amazing lecroy! stone needle?

Found these on my lunch break today along with about 7 broke ones. This is my 2nd Lecroy find they are one of my top favorite style points. The black needle looking thing I have no idea what it could be. It is ground down to a point. Any thoughts I would love to hear thanks!

I just always called mine a pin and mine is broken on the end also. I figured it probably might of been used like a nose pin or some other part of the body.
 

Van Lott points have the beveling. I'm seeing more St Albans. Burfication is more angled rather than vertical like Lecroys. Most Lecroys I see are Quartz.

I haven't even thought about St Albans good eye!
 

Just wanted to show you two things I find here on the coast that are much like your piece.The one on the left is a colonial slate pencil as mentioned above & is made of slate stone.The other is a fossilized porpoise tooth.I think you have a pencil myself which is a cool find.:thumbsup:

Are you sure about that "porpoise tooth" I have a couple but not like that at all. I see there is the entire root..but the tip looks much different on mine.
