Here are just a couple pictures of last weeks endeavor in Gettysburg PA. The history Channel was in town filming an episode of American Pickers. After filming, they gave their hand at metal detecting Civil War relics. The two in the center of the pictures are Bruce C. and Larry R. (Sargent Gettysburg police dept.) Joe (civilman) is also seen standing next the grey truck. While I was teaching the curve of the machine we also dug some fine relics. . The picker guys were very impressed with the Minelab Etrac's depth to locate tiny brass relics very deep.
Minelab donated 2 Etracs for the show which will be aired sometime between Jan-March of this year.
I'll post more photos later.
Thanks for looking!

on the bottom pic -- did you catch part of a gettysburg ghost image ? (head)-- hear its are fairly common in those parts to get ghost images in your photographs.-- lots of tourist get them - however most do not know what they are.

some folks say they even "hear the voices" of the dead soilders speaking to one another in their headphones when they detect. in the gettysburg general area. --- however very few speak of it for fear of being labelled "oddballs or freaks"

I'm holding Sammie right now, but I just have to reply to this. I was challenged by a very reputable local to go to certain part of the Battle field, turn off my vehicle and listen. He and his wife both told me this while tears were in their eyes, that you can still hear the cry's from the kids in the field at night. I declined the challenge, I don't think I would fare well hearing that.

Beautiful country though
