Amulet Sold Years Ago at Waddington's Auction House in Canada

I had this listed in the What is It? category asking if it might be an Inuit item as it was sold by a well known Canadian auction house. Someone suggested it was a Native American amulet and that I post here. I'm not sure how to track down the auction number as it looks to have been pretty far back by the tag. The amulet measures 4 1/2 inches in length and 1 1/2 inches at the widest point. It looks to be soapstone or slate and appears to be broken off at the end. I am curious about the age and approximate value as well as the possible tribal group. Thanks for your help. w1.webpIMG_8424.webpIMG_8425.webpIMG_8426.webp

The color looks to be slate. The broken end could have also been drilled. However not much value in broken pieces. Nice artifact overall.

Even broken it would be worth a few dollars but nothing like if it was a whole piece. You can send it off to get restored and then it might be worth more. The restore might be high but that is something you would have to find out. Still a nice piece, congrats
