Ancient Airplane Design Or Fishing Lure?

They were using sinew as fishing line, but then tied on that expensive, factory made "lure"? Nope, nope, nope, nope...

Suggestion: Upload the image to Google Images and have it search. There's dozens of sites about that image, and not a one said fishing lure, but it did seem to be rather important in relation to ancient aliens visiting Earth. View attachment 2202928
Trolling Lure 😁
Yeah they were probably hooking into some Big Fish.
Trolling Along Singing a song.
And that propeller, who knows? Not the same artifacts I am talking about.
I am going to make an exact copy of that thing and I am going to take it fishing
I am going to use a spinning reel though.

I had heard of some older all metal odd shaped lures that were pretty good at catching fish. The design that got me thinking. I had heard of Metalfly and the Arkansaw Wiggler. Anyways the Videos that got me thinking.

🤣
Pork Rinds?😁
Would of been interesting to see if adding Pork Rinds would of changed the bouyancy or bounce of that Lure, Definetely would of gave off some stink attract in the water. though. Looks like a good Lure have to pick me up on. Looks like the designer spent a heck of a lot of time devoloping and working on it in 47". 😆

If your interested, I found this website Metlfly Fishing looks like they are reproducing some of the old time all metal spoonplugs, from what I have heard they also work pretty well on trout? Looks like a good action lure.
Anyways got to make me up a couple Bogata Airplane Spoonplugs to try out.
😁

Sounds like your fish'n for a reason !
Meh, Just those Ancient Aliens guys with the freaky hair always have goofy explanations.🤣
I do find antique fishing lures interesting. You might be surprised that something that someone discovered hundreds of years ago was lost, as far as meaning or use.🤔
Fishing tackle has become pretty dialled in lately, Pretty much Micrplastics have become pretty popular over the last 15 years, Especially for Trout..
Tip for Anglers: The Metlflys are a decent spoon to have handy when fishing for Trout. Although I don't do much fishing anymore

Pike spearing, Yeah, I have seen that on Youtube. You must be out in the Midwest. Never fished for Pike, they look like a fun fish to hook into though. Never Spear fished, Did a little Bow fishing for Bass in the old days, not much, mostly as a goof. If anything mostly stick to Trout angling, if anything nowadays. Bass are just too easy.
