Don't know this breed of cattle, got to do some . She is a pretty cow, only problem is horns...when you have to deal with cattle on a daily basis, I rather not have any with horns.

Neat critter Fossis!

There's been notable interest in historic animals and vegetable/grain crops of late, as the big conglomerates that actually feed us are leaning strongly towards GMO's.

They may, indeed, produce more for consumption, yet there is no clue how resistant they may be to some sort of contagion. Would it spread like wildfire amongst ALL of a species and wipe out everything?

Nobody knows.

There are several groups dedicated to 'preserving' old breeds of Animals & fowl, trying to keep them from dissapearing.
Also 'Heirloom seeds', that have not been genetically changed.

These are supposed to be a 'gentle breed', so horns wouldn't be a big problem.
