I collected these two artifacts while I was traveling and I'm struggling with identifying them. I believe they are both egyptian in origin from their design (namely the bird shapes being reminiscent of something you'd find close to the edge of the Nile. Both are made from an alloy of bronze and copper, one a small hand sized figurine of a camel sitting down and the other I think is a nut cracker. A friend of mine speculated a torture device but I don't the Egyptians had a habit of putting such pretty bird designs on an instrument of suffering (but I wouldn't completely rule it out. The figurine is 15cm long and 3cm wide. The "nutcracker" is approximately 20cm long and 14cm wide. Any help you can give would be appreciated and I find things like this a lot so any body that can give me a good estimate I would love to have the help of in the future. Considering the alloy, the method used is probably one using honeycomb for molding, covered in clay to be heated so that the honey comb melts and then it is replaced by the melted alloy to cool, the clay is then broken away. This method is from around the 26th dynasty in Egypt between 664BC and 525BC before the invasion of the Persians in Egypt. Any more details or anot alternate explanation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for any help you can give.
