I want to try water hunting when I get to AMI the last week of July. Anyone know where I might be able to borrow or rent a water machine? I don't want to invest till I try it out and make sure I want to buy one.

I'm not sure I'm ready to buy one. I know i won't get into the water in NJ with one...too cold! I'm in Florida 2-3 weeks a year now...till I retire (about 2-3 years). I don't think I'll know enough about using a water machine for you to worry about me. Yet....

It's in Pinellas Park, on US-19... past the Wal-mart Super Center, on the right hand side of 19.
So does Bill Jackson's sell water detectors? And what's the average cost, if anyone has shopped there for one?

If you only plan on hunting one day, rent one, but if you plan on renting a good water machine for a week I personally think the money would be better spent on a buying a good new or used one.....

I am sure with a wetsuit you could get in the water in the summer time even in NJ.

If you were going to be on this side of the state I would meet you to hunt and loan you my Excal for you to try out a couple times........Trouble is I am a long way from AMI.
