Nice clad hunt! Some of those coins look like they have been in the ground for awhile. HH, Mike

Thanks everyone for the support it does help! ;D ;D ;D ;D

congrats on the 100+ coin day , good job. Its ok to dig those zincs afterall they can always be coin starred and turned into starbucks or dunkin doughnuts. Thats what we do. lol Now other things can read as a zinc penny, these include small silver rings, silver pendants, gold class rings, larger gold rings etc

Gregg....You have now officially put me on coin TILT.
I have a new goal for you don't stop until you come back with 200 coins tomorrow (or sometime this week). That's your challenge and hey while your at it can you find a little silver or maybe some gold!!!!

I would have to say if I was on a coin hunting competition I would definately want you on my team.

I think metal detecting is depression proof. If you were back in the days of the depression you would probably be living good.

Way to go Gregg!!! That is one nice mother load of coins.

You are really adding up those coins...good job.. 8)

Great coin count!

When I use the DFX, I always dig up pennies. I found a copper ring and a few other weird keepers. The 50's -60's range could be lots of things, including Civil War bullets.

I find that foil is almost always foil or can-slaw though. It's very consistent. Silver rings are dime-penny range. Just tonight I found a copper bracelet with a clad silvery finish and it rang up as a quarter.

The 5 cents icon is the one that gets me excited though. It's almost always a nickel, but it could be a big fat gold ring. If you have the energy, it's a good idea to clear out the pull tabs. Those pull tabs can mask other nearby targets (at least with the 9.5 coil.

I can't wait to take the DFX to Myrtle Beach this weekend. I'm going to put some duct tape on it and make it look junky, so no one tries to steal it! ;)
