I just stopped at a local thrift store. And left very disappointed

I saw 2 boxes that had these breyers porcelain horses. Checked the ebay completed listings and some sell for a few hundred. The pic below is one of the ones I found

The disappointing part was that both of them had broken pieces. (Still listed at $12 though lol)

Defintely a new one on my watch list

And I also picked up this dopey ceramic trinket box for a $1. Maybe worth $20 ?

You are right about the Breyer horses. Some of them sell for pretty big money. The problem, of course, as with many collectibles is there is a huge variety of these horses and only a few of them sell for big money and those a very rare. So you really have to know your Breyer horses. I don't know squat about them.

That's what ebay a completed listings are for lol. That's one of the reasons it's so hard to find the big deals anymore because everyone has a smartphone

The smartphone has made it easy to determine values on more common and heavily produced items. Seek out items that are rare, take time to research, and are truly antique and you will find that many great deals can still be found. Just have to always be looking. Plus it's more fun having to do the research yourself instead of just copying someone else's listing.
