I'm backkkkk , found this today near old site, thought it was an old brass valve. but I never seen one with the flared end like this. the other side is broke off. any IDs ?

that's what I thought, I was once a LP gas installer,and I never seen one that was bell shaped on one end,looks more like a drain or spigot of some kind.

Yep!! It's a drain valve. I have them on some of my hit&miss engines. They were also used on tractors. Tony

I have to go with a brass pet cock ball valve valve
Has a thumb screw handle to turn off / on with your finger tips, no wrench needed
Made of brass because it wont spark when you use a wrench to install or repair.
They also use them for water and certain chemicals
Common item, you can still buy them

Solved petcock valve. If there is any doubt, I have one in my 1909 Sears catalog.
Its called an "air cock." I could take a pic if you like. Green check?

Many, many things use petcocks. It's the "what was this one specifically used on" is really the only question. :icon_scratch:
