Third killer day in a row. We returned to our amazing site today. 9 silver coins and some more coppers. This site has been absolutely incredible. My friend found the capped bust quarter, capped bust dime, seated half dime and a trime. I found the bust half dime, three trimes, and a seated half dime. Also found was a silver mechanical pen, a random 18th century knee buckle some brass thing with a fake gem and a few others odds and ends.

Holy shite! That is some once in a lifetime coinshooting, don't see that kind of haul very often here on TN. Congratulations on what is clearly a loaded untouched spot. Like others, would love to hear what type of location you guys have discovered. If that's a homestead or settlement, them farmers had a lot of holes in their pockets.

I'm in western mass, if you're ever looking for someone else to join and share sites, send me a PM. I'll bring the beer and sandwiches :)

Looks to me like someone’s treasure chest burst open and you and your mate have found the mother of all spills! Congrats hardly seems appropriate! :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:

Crazy. I would love to see all of the coins “cleaned” up in a group shot when you are done with the site. It would be a banner handful for sure. Congrats!

Great job dude !!! Do you think you hit a cache ? :occasion14:

Holy Guacomole!

I like to think this is what metal detecting was like back in the 70's, when it wasn't really a thing yet, and virtually every site was virginal. GREAT HUNT!

Nice! Now you can afford to get some gloves! :laughing7:
