Hi all. Hope your week was a good one. Today is my last day off so I thought I better get some time in hunting so I can get through these next 4 days. Best find was the musket ball. 87 grains and .423 inches. I haven't found one in a few months now, so I was happy to see it. The '59P Roosevelt kept the weekly silver streak alive. The little shiny buckle looking thing is aluminum but it fooled me till I could get home and clean it a bit. The large round brass piece is the front of an old lock. Never knew there was a 6 lever lock. The bent ring is junk. Thanks for looking.

What is the square brass piece with the 3 holes in it? Is that a lock face?

Nope, not new at all. Was at the school close to me we passed when we went to that old couple's house where you found the fatty IH and that awesome buckle. Are you in Md yet? If not, drive safely and have fun.

Good hunt,.. square thing may also be a furniture tag, I have seen some early furniture use symbols on a plate as a trademark and fastened inside a drawer, usually thin so not really sure Good you got out anyways, Got in a couple hours myself, only clad and trash.
Good luck out there.

Might be a "ho hum hunt" to you, but, you realize I haven't found a single silver coin in two months!?!? Oh, I've found silver, almost regularly. Just no coins. Strange drought. ;)

Nice saves!

It would help both of us. I found the exact same thing and it is someplace. I thought it was a toy car hood.

It might be, Point, since mine appears to have had red paint on it. I don't recall ever seeing a painted lock, do you?

Congrats on the silver Rosie Dave!
Too bad the lock wasn't complete, now that would've been sweet!
