Another hunt with Vino, his pocketknife find

[treblehunter]

I was on the road again, hours of driving, (I had to pick up the skiff from the mechanic too) I really didn't find a whole lot, Buckle, looks old, piece of ornateness, Not quite sure what it is? George found a IH and a King George. Also he found this pocketknife and gave me homework to do.

On the knife it says-----"Central Trust Co. Camden NJ" "capital $100,000 Surplus $275000"
found this link so far to it. We were easy hour and fifteen minutes from Camden NJ.

Enjoy the pix, HH & GL

Chris keeps telling me this town north of us is going to burst our silver chests, so if mine can't hold it all, I may drop the extra off Treb's pier, lol.

The metal thing looks like a hanger of some type. The buckle could be a shoe buckle.
Nice finds! Now it's your turn to find coins!

[Steve in PA]

Your buckle is colonial and probably a small shoe buckle.

I think I found one of those picture rail hooks last week too. Thanks for the ID I was wondering what it was.

Looks like a good day detecting. The ornateness item is a "picture rail hook". In the early days they would nail a wooden rail on the wall and then, with help of the rail hook they would place a picture any where they wanted.
