Another NJ newbie here

Saying hello for the first time here.
Was walking along the bay beach down the road from my home the other day which I do as often as I can (which tends to not be very often) to de-stress and relax a little not to mention I need the exercise... Anyway, I happened to be passing someone with a metal detector and I struck up a short conversation with him. Just chatted a bit about how there are many different MD's on the market, etc, etc.
Got home and started thinking about it and decided to purchase one myself. My hobby for the past 20+ years has been work work and more work. I have recently acquired some health problems which are mostly related to my weight and lack of exercise so I figure what an awesome way to start walking more and have some fun while I'm at it.
I am eagerly awaiting my fisher F2 setup from kellycode that I ordered yesterday and I am looking forward to being a part of this awesome community!
