War Nickel

And always remember to keep your eyes open when not detecting. You might miss a pretty bauble.

And to finish the day, I got this hit on the AT-PRO that gave me a short, solid, repeatable hit of 91. I'd never seen a solid hit stay so stubbornly on one number. Anyway, it's either a homemade ring, or a cutting from a brass/copper pipe. Thing is, it was entangled in the roots of a VERY old tree at about a depth of 8 inches!

Figuring I'd already gotten the "brass ring", I called it a day.

Thanks for peeking.

Yeah, ya know, I kinda like those war nickels. They are a strange hit though. :)

Thanks!

Nice that thingymabob kinda looks like maybe something to a lock or door

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe like one of the internal pins in a lock? The "2" might just be the position in the tumbler.
