All Treasure Hunting
While beach hunting, I am constantly being asked what's my best find.
Today a couple comes up and stands in front of me and the guy says:
"I just have to ask you, what is your best find."
I looked up at them and told them my best find was a diamond and gold bracelet that I sold for $55,000.
They were speechless. Their reaction was hilarious, I had trouble keeping a straight face.
I stepped around them and went back to digging bottle caps.
No, I have never found a $55,000 bracelet, not even close, I just pulled what I thought would be a believable number out of the air.
Drove 100 miles to find bottle caps, pull tabs, beer cans, tent stakes, rivets, crabpot wire, fish hooks, lead weights and paper clips.
Even though it was a not a good day findwise, humorwise it was a good day.
To me a good laugh is good as a gold ring.

That's a good one, I gotta remember that one. :laughing7:
I usually tell folks, "GOLD", gold is my best find.

I usually get the "What are you looking for" question.
I tell everyone "Buried treasure, but I usually find buried trash".
When the little kids ask, I tell them the buried treasure line,
then follow up with, "Have you seen any pirates with treasure chest,
or pirate ships"?
Their eyes will get wide, they'll look all around.... :laughing7:

best find ..not monetary

Luckily, I don't have to deal with people "to much" where I hunt, if I do it's because they think I'm trespassing "In there water".

I usually tell them that my wife is my best find. It makes them laugh, the ladies love the answer, and stops the conversation.

Thats a great reply love it

I tell them my best find was a Rolex and a plastic bag of Italian gold chains that I found near a trash can. Then I woke up! :laughing7:

I have been asked twice, and have answered both truthfully.

I tell them to Google WESH 2 news 1715 ring, than walk away.

Full battery and a empty beach

I've told people " I don't know, I haven't found it yet"

But If I hear ONE more person asks me if Im looking for Doubloons..In a Texas Lake..Im gonna lose it!

I tell a big fat gold chain with a medallion. then they say no really , yea really
