While beach hunting, I am constantly being asked what's my best find.
Today a couple comes up and stands in front of me and the guy says:
"I just have to ask you, what is your best find."
I looked up at them and told them my best find was a diamond and gold bracelet that I sold for $55,000.
They were speechless. Their reaction was hilarious, I had trouble keeping a straight face.
I stepped around them and went back to digging bottle caps.
No, I have never found a $55,000 bracelet, not even close, I just pulled what I thought would be a believable number out of the air.
Drove 100 miles to find bottle caps, pull tabs, beer cans, tent stakes, rivets, crabpot wire, fish hooks, lead weights and paper clips.
Even though it was a not a good day findwise, humorwise it was a good day.
To me a good laugh is good as a gold ring.
