✅ SOLVED antique tea kettle possibly japanese or hawiian

i have an old tea kettle i found in my grandmothers closet after she passed away and was interested in were it came from.it seams to be made out of pottery or some sort of clay.i have lots of photos of it so it should give you all the information you need.the kettle is about 6''x6.5''x3.5'' in size.also has 2 hallmarks on the bottom.i think it could be either japanese or hawiian because my grandmother lived in hawaii for many years.i have looked at a list of different japanese hallmarks but haven't found anything even similar to what is on the kettle.if anyone can give any information it would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. i can upload more pics if needed,i know the focus isn't the best but all i have is a cellphone camera.

Japanese. Pic #1 is the proper orientation of the kanji characters. I'm looking at possible names but name kanji is very difficult.

You say "found in grandmother's closet"... Based on her generation, do you think pre or post WWII? It may make a difference with the kanji interpretation.

its hard to say when she got it or if it was handed down to her.i would say post WWII.i believe either her brother or her husband was in the navy it so it very well could of been pre WWII.he would of been my uncle micky,or great uncle micky.

It is KUTANI. Famous maker of ceramics in the first half of the 20th C.

This was under Saki Kettle when I searched that but says "Tea"

Do you have the lid? It is/was part of a traditional Japanese tea set. There should the pot with lid (yuzamashi) and 4 or 5 teacups (chawan) for the set.

not that i know of.i will have to take a look in the closet and see what else is in there.i have a few different objects i am going to post as well if i cant find any info on them.
