Found this outside a lesser known civil war site...literally 20 feet from where the fort walls once stood. This item is heavy, as in 7-10 lbs. heavy. Is it newer/ modern.? Is it from that era? Seems very old. Was about 9" deep. First time using "relics" program. Thanks for any help in trying to ID this.

Looks like a "U joint/knuckle" to a large tractor or truck or the like.

That was kind of my initial guess. It did seem to have threads on two or three of the "spokes". Always get good feedback here. Any other guessers? Thanks.

Yup! it's a u joint knuckle!

U- joint all day lol

Thanks all. So much for trying to turn wish this into a relic!!!😀

Keep looking,the finds will come!

Thanks Ron. Like you said, the Deus is a Coin Killer! After reading multiple posts, I have been "converted" to the 8kHZ frequency. My good target harvest has increased exponentially. My weak spot is in finding the relics. I have learned what my Deus is saying to me for silver& clad, just not iron yet. For instance, how would an old CS or US buckle ring up?
How would a two or three ringer bullet sound & number out? The two buttons I found were higher tones& numbers if I remember correctly.
I am having a blast with this machine, and will hopefully post something great on here soon.
