Dude these two pieces in the same hole. Was at a decent spot. Dug a .58 caliber Gardner bullet very close by to these pieces. They are obviously iron. Pictures are before and after electrolysis. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks !

If there are screw holes on the reverse side, they could be decorative handles for a chest. If that is the case, then they are very old handles.

I was Jest Geoking about the bottle opener parts But I like where you are going with this. Too small for a chest but I could see these riveted to an iron cooking pot for handles

Clearly these are 2 matching handles that have 2 filled in fixing holes. I've seen similar on the side of large cooking pots, but I'm guessing it could have gone on many different metal (I believe) buckets/pots or maybe on a stove.

That was my guess when looking at them....Looks like maybe handles for a cast iron pot.
