It could use some gentle cleaning. I looks like a crest!

Button with Rampant Lions flanking a Shield. Hard to tell what is above the shield, I see some scroll work or vines above and below. But what is coming off the shield? Crown or something else?

I can't tell if they're lions griffins or dinosaurs. On either side of the figure over the shield looks like a Phrygian hat or Hershey's Kiss? The detail over the shield looks like the side view of a left "sinister" hand giving the bird? The detail in the shield looks more like modern military heraldry.
I tend to agree with Dave but could also be a whimsical piece!

The rusted back tells the story. "Vintage" heraldic blazer button - mid 20th C at the oldest.
