I haven't been able to find much info of this style of rectangular buckle. It's copper and looks too weak to be horse harness, and it isn't curved like a shoe buckle.
Is it 1700s or 1800s?
Is it a belt buckle? If not, what would this buckle have been used for?
Any info is appreciated.
