Any Northern California Treasure Hunters Out There?

I am new to metal detecting, in fact, I have only gone out once and what I realized is that it might be bit more fun go with a group of people who enjoy doing the same thing. So I was wondering if anyone out there lives near Sonoma County or Marin County California and would like some company on their next outing?

There's a sizable club, with some good hunters, in Santa Rosa. There's also a California specific internet forum called the "kinzli forum", where several people from the bay area post, brag, exchange, etc.... To get on the main page of the kinzli forum, you have to sign up. But it's easy: just pick a name and a password.
