A friend of mine found a few leaves(still attached) to a Black butt gum tree around my home town. Looks like the dust and the small specs of gold was excreted through the pores of the leaf. Anyone have any ideas how it happened?
No dumps or shaft were in the vicinity of the tree but it was on the edge of a small creek.
I know that they test roots of spinifex and other plants for traces of gold as they attract it but never heard of it coming through the leaves.
