Anybody have a clue about this token??

It says MB on one side and the reverse says 2 1/2. It was found near Lafayette Indiana. I was wondering if its possible fur trade about the size of a quarter but very thin. Seems to be made of silver

I'd say it is made of "German Silver" a nickel alloy that was commonly in use for tokens ca. 1890-1910. Probably from a billiard hall which was owned by somebody with initials M. B. - and good for 2½¢ in trade. It will be tough to attribute...
