Has anyone seen this before it has a top piece like a pocket watch but a slit down the side

Looks like a permanent match Sonofadigger. The round piece unscrews, or did, and when removed held a brass(?) tube with wick.1950,s.
We kids were fond of a similar style in the early seventies ,no mine was not pink.
