Found this at a old tavern site 1750s not sure what it is maybe a drawyer pull it looks like the cylinder on a six shot revolver IMG_8181.JPG IMG_8182.JPG

Yeap, found loads of them. I date them to the 18th C. The ID's above are correct.

Nice find! It could be quite old though I think the style has been used for a while. There are others listed on the UK finds site Portable Antiquities Scheme.

I thought it looked like a Tudor Rose so that it what I searched for -

"This type of mount was common during the 16th to 18th centuries AD and a number have been recorded on this database."

You have to be careful with the PAS, lots of inaccuracies.
I don't believe this style pre-dates the 17th C & its not a Tudor Rose (5 outer petals not 6) design;

Most I believe are 18th C.
