Last summer my son went on a little hunt down the rd. from our house. There is an old abandoned house that has some eroding hillside behind it and he has found a few points there. He found one there last summer and brought it home with 10 or so little copper discs with holes in them I kept them outside in a can or something for a week or so and then they got strewn about (kids) a dirt spot close to the driveway, I can't remember what I done with them after that, I might have picked them up might not 
Looked in my many jars and tins etc. but can't find them, I just assumed they were something from some of the junk thats laying around the yard of this old house . Anyway, I'm looking at some archaeology pictures on some site and I see some ear spools that looked exactly like those discs my son brought home. I always thought of ear spools as looking like a yoyo or a sewing machine bobbin etc. these I seen on the site had only one side to them. I'm kicking myself for not saving them or realizing they could had been something ancient. Does anyone have any examples of ear spools esp adena or hopewell?
