Found this today where i found the script I button the other day. I have no idea what it is. It has usa on it and a couple other random letters? Wood is attached and the prong on the back appears to be lead. Thanks for the help!

Sorry, no - not Phillips head screw. It's called Torq-set screw. Used mostly in aerospace and military applications.

What I believe you have is what is left of a golf club head. Wood with a brass heel plate. The D is probably for Dunlop. I have found several of these with the same shape and screws in the corners. The lead ball give the wood head its weight.
