Anyone here have any Bob Curtis (aka "Martin O'Brien") books?
Hey everyone,
Some people here may be familiar with Robert "Bob" Curtis, the guy involved with the WW2 gold fiasco in the Philipines.
If you're not familiar with him, ignore this thread
As you may know, Bob wrote several books on his experiences, collectively titled "The Gold of the Sun".
The individual books were named:
BOOK ONE: THE WAR YEARS
BOOK TWO: THE AFTERMATH
BOOK THREE: THE MARCOS YEARS
BOOK FOUR: THE RECOVERY YEARS
As I understand it, he also wrote a book called "THE GOLDEN LILY".
However, he did use the pseudonym "Mark O'Brien".
Due to the highly controversial nature of what he wrote about, my understanding is that the books were self published.
And there probably aren't many copies out there in circulation today.
Bob, by the way, is deceased, but I believe his wife is still around.
Anyway, I've acquired what I believe is "Book One", and also part of "The Golden Lily".
I am now trying to acquire the other books, as well as the other part of "The Golden Lily".
If you have a copy of these books, or know how to acquire them, I would really appreciate it if you could get in touch via a PM.
Or just post here if you know how to get these books.
