i know quarters are the least likely to give you a silver return. However I was wondering if anyone gets quarters out of coins machines that are at laundry mat or arcades. I tried about 100 bucks in a few different machines and I haven't come up with anything but I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this with any luck.

I had thought about it but its easier for me to just buy a box of quarters and call it a day.

i have... only real keepers were some BU bi centennial quarters

don't think those people loading those machines don't know about silver... they do.

I cycle nickels through vending machines. So far, my only keeper was a 1958 lamination error (was examined by coin shop). However, in Canada, I cycled quarters to get commems and got plenty including colorized ones like these (they are of the same design, but not actually mine):

I generally hunt some washers/dryers before they go to the bank. Generally average about ~$300 in quarters a week. In the past like 3 years I've found a grand total of like... 5 silvers. Plus a handful of Canadians, an Irish 5p (old style) and a South Korea 100 Won. Almost not even worth it. But quarters are easy to edge search.
