Are you talking about detecting the dunes at Treasure Island?? I believe you have to stay between the dunes and the water. Maybe I'm missing where you were talking about?

if'n they pulled the walkways out, you'd be in the dune/vegetation area, I'd stay away from that one.

Last week on the astronomical low tide, I hunted part of TI and SPB. Got a small gold wedding band for my efforts. No Coins. none/nada/zip. Now that think about that, weird.......

Trust me, I dug enough crab trap pieces to fill my trash pocket 4 times, got a lot of small iron items off the beach and surf line. But, no coins. Maybe someone was there ahead of me.

Oh, well.

If you put your boat in south of the Bilmar, make sure to leave the trailer in the lot, take your towing vehicle and park it in the metered spot across the street, and fill the meter. Trust me, it will cost you if you don't.

I just thought it would be worth looking, even without a detector. I imagine those walks have been there a while. The dunes that I've seen are normally littered with beer cans/bottles and other assorted trash. I figured no harm in looking. My bad.
