Anyone in/near Brazos county Texas?

Hi guys, new here. My name is mark, I’m 22years old and live in Brazos county Texas. I’ve been actively digging since I was about 10, previously with a heavy focus on antique bottles, and metal detecting. I spent a decent bit of time surface hunting for Indian artifacts at my grandparents place in Cibolo Texas area when I was younger.
I’m looking to get back into this side of things, and would love to be able to spend some time with anyone in my area who is more knowledgeable than me. I’m plenty green but eager to learn!
Also have about 700 acres in Livingston Texas that I’m hopeful to have a couple camps on, and looking to start digging soon.
So, anyone close by?

Recently moved and most of my stuff is still boxed up, what I have isn’t anything impressive though either. Hope to get some of it back out soon though. If you’re interested in the bottles and other relics I can show some of those off, as those aren’t boxed up.

I apologize, I meant no offense. The one in the first pic just looks like a jasper reproduction made yesterday. Great find.

My question is the piece in the lower right corner of the pic that I circled. Hard to tell from the pic it but looks like a few bird points I've come across.

No, I think that’s just a piece of bark. We ding really have material that black around here.

Went ahead and dug out the box of stuff. Not too much that’s very impressive like I said. A few pieces that I would have really liked to have seen whole.

Going to go do some test holes and sift at the property in Livingston tomorrow! Wish me luck. This will be the first step in determining if there was much activity there. I’m hopeful there was. If so there’s plans in the work for building a shaker table!

It was a success! At first I was a bit discouraged, I walked a small creek at the base of this hill hoping it would reveal something, and there wasn’t a thing in it. I went up on top of the hill, and dug a small hole and sifted the dirt. Every rock that was in the first screen was broken, either it was fire cracked rock or flakes! After the creek was I wasn’t as hopeful, and so it was a glad surprise to see that. I dug a hole about 2.5x2.5x2.5” and sifted the dirt. Tons of flakes, some from some really pretty material. The only artifact I found was the tip to what I assume would have been some kind of blade. Made out of some beautiful petrified wood.
earlier that morning while walking a road on the property I picked up a crude point made from petrified wood, with the tip busted and maybe also part of the base. That was about a 1/4 mile away on the property. There’s another rise right next to the one I dug on that is even higher that I suspect also has artifacts. Exciting! That was the first dug artifact I’ve found. Everything prior had been surface finds.

Looks like a promising area. A Texas guy posted here awhile back that would dig with a skidsteer & dump everthing into a power sifter. To say he had an impressive collection would be a understatement.

I would like to be able to dig this site with a skid steer and a sister like that. I have the means to build a sifter capable it’s just the skid steer side of things that’s more difficult to source. In the mean time I’m going to make a powdered sifter for the hand digging to make things a little better.
I went out again yesterday and dug some more. Found two broke points and a scraper. Can’t imagine what all could be found if I could move more dirt at a time.

He seemed to have some financial resources. He would buy the land and/or pay for the right to do this on private property.

I wish I could do that myself somewhere ! BUT I've gotten to old and beat up to do this myself now-a-days so I guess I'll just have to read about it here !
