Anyone know about jewler's marks?

I found a 10k ring today (first ring & first gold) with an opal mount. I'll post pics tomorrow.
The jeweler's mark is 2 hearts....anyone??

I know this is an old post was surfing through the pages since i,m new, and came across your post,
jeweler's marks, as you would say could be anything but is always associated with a specific jeweler,, I bought a old Rolex a "68 date" model in 09 from a pawn shop,, after I opened the case, it had Jeweler marks ,, this one was his Initials plus a sign,,example,, Jw*75 and Jw*93 had been adjusted and repaired on those dates and that repairman as you would say, would make his mark.
