I buried a silver Washington quarter at a depth of 8" exact.
I have good soil where I live.
Nothing..with the gain cranked right before it starts getting chatty.
Yes, ground balanced.
Reburried at 6.5"...loud and clear.
I would think this machine and coil should easily pickup at 8", so I find the tales of people digging barber quarters at 13" a little sketchy.
