The weather reporter was standing on a slick of black beach sand! I think he was in North Carolina. It was either ABC or CBS.

On ABC just now he was at Virginia Beach and black sand again seen.

Anyone over there go hit it and give us a report!

Hurricanes are one of natures great events. They stir up the environmental pot and tell us that the riverside property or that costly ocean view wasn't worth the price when nature flushes the toilet. Nature has a habit of rearranging stuff for us periodically, just go with the flow. Lord... I'm starting to sound like the hippie that I probably was. But, here in the Raleigh area, just a lot of much needed rain, fast. Flash flooding occurred, but the reservoirs and lakes are getting topped off.
