anyone tried a clip on ferrite filter

Really I wouldn't think these really do much at all but for $4 if they did anything more then nothing I would grab a couple just for the heck of it. I've heard a lot of people say they don't do anything at all and some people say when they tested it out it didn't help much but did do a little. Anyone have hands on experience if so what did they do. Like I said not looking for a big change just curious if they do absolutely nothing or negative effect.

There was a thread about this a month or 2 ago. A guy was getting interference from power lines (I think).

Have you actually used and tried one or just going by what you've seen

Yes, we tried them on our Minelab GPX machines, friends tried them on their VLF's - complete waste of money and time.
