April 8th ...3 hours////3 Silvers & a Ring

Went hunting after work with T-Man till almost dark.............................We both found some goodies but it was tough hunting.
I found a 1899 barber dime{My 3rd Barber dime this year}.........A....1916 Merc (my 3rd 1916 this year[ one S ,2 Plain),and a 1943 merc............Also found what I thought was a Gold wedding band.......But....it is only Gold colored aluminum I think...........Inside is stamped only with (Hung Kong).............Also found 4 wheats,and about $2 in Clad....................H.H.

WOW! Great score Dave! That's your 3rd '16 merc this year I don't suppose any of them were 16d's?? You know you are doing good when about half your coins found are silver and the other half are wheaties, unlike that day you found about 5 times as many wheaties as you did silver... but that was a GREAT day in itself

Those 1916 Mercs are always heart-stoppers especially when there's a mint mark :P

That spot was kinda of hard to hunt but getting 5 silvers out of there in 3 hours aint bad. I got 2 which I thought both were rosies but one turned out to be a merc. I also got 6 wheaties but no good dates. I also got a piece of lead that had to weigh at least 2 pounds. It was formed so it went to something. Hoping to get back there today and hit it some more. TMAN...

FOURTY FIVE so far for 2009..........and over 160 wheaties & lost count of the clad.....But it has to be close to $40 or more..........................Me,T,and G went 2 day..............and me & T........came up dry.....Wheats only.............................But G.................Got 9 Shiney's........#*%($^%^$()_&*_$%$....L.O.L..........................................Ohh...........................the ring Rang up like a cent/silver..............I should have known it was aluminum or silver right away.......but ..........when you see a gold ring ..............what are your thoughts when it first comes out of the ground ?
