April recovery totals: CardsNCoins

April was another strong month for me. I slowed down on the copper a little so I could really get after the dimes. In April I searched $245 (9.8 boxes) in cents, $100 (1 box) in nickels, $22,250 (89 boxes) in dimes, $6,500 (13 boxes) in quarters, and $19,800 (39.6 boxes) in halves. Here is what I was able to recover:

7,259 - Copper Cents
190 - Wheat Cents
1 - War Nickel
20 - Mercury Dimes
237 - Roosevelt Dimes
9 - Washington Quarters
5 - Walking Liberty halves
12 - Franklin halves
17 - 1964 Kennedy halves
212 - 40% Kennedy halves

Cards...I find those numbers simply amazing, especially since so many others seem to have had a slow month. I have no idea how you can find the time to do all those, but I'm jealous . You are killing it on the dimes too!

I am a union electrician in N.Y.C., and things are pretty slow lately, so unfortunately the free time is forced upon me sometimes. I am using it productively though.

well, it's cool that you are in this hobby. It's a lucrative hobby indeed, and it looks like your doing very good at it. You'd have a nice profit there if you cashed in, so being slow at that job can't be too bad for ya. Nice month man, amazing.

Not cashing in yet, even with the little dip in price this evening. I like having the my finds continue to grow months after they were found.

Great month...again!

I am really envious of, well all your finds actually, but especially the silver dimes. I honestly can nearly find as many with my detector than I can from CRH.

I'd love to know the secrets of how you dump all that coin.

Living in a small town, I have $900 in halves right now and $200 or so in dimes, and it is going to be tricky to dump all of them.

I went without dimes and more halves over the weekend due to this dumping problem.

There's only one Rich Hartford, and he mentioned in a thread that April was a busy month for him with "non CRHing" things, so hopefully he'll be back recovering in May.

By the way $ilver$urfer, your totals are pretty sweet yourself.

LOL, I know Rich is a legend and one of a kind - I just remember him saying he was done with halves and would only be doing road trips and dimes for now on. What I was trying to say was I think your finds are truly amazing..."Hartfordesque", in fact! Thanks for the kudos, I am doing well myself and feel very lucky to keep scoring big. I wish I was independently wealthy so I could CRH 40 hours a week - that would be my dream job!!!
