I found this in a river.
It's very heavy. I suspect it contains minerals.
But upon closer inspection, it looks like a footprint. Is my suspicion correct?
I'm still a beginner at this, so please help.

I also found this elsewhere.
It looks like a fossil and is very large.

Baroes, what leads you to believe they are fossils?

I'm not really sure.
I'm just guessing or feeling it's possible.
I find it too heavy for its size and its shape resembles a footprint.
Look at the video; it looks like a "mud trail from the past." Maybe...

FWIW, I believe that trying to determine authenticity of something like this pretty much requires
having a Paleontologist examine it in person. It's definitely an interesting find... :occasion14:

The first thing you posted(and the video) looks a lot like an iron concretion.
They are many times found as hollow nodules and when they get broken they resemble all kinds of things.
I have a few of them.
They are heavy(iron oxide) and hard.
It won't necessarily be attracted to a magnet. But it will leave a nice red/brown streak test.

The other rock I can't tell much about. Can't even tell what size it is.
Looks like part of it has been broken off?
Which of the rocks are you wanting us to look at?
