Armenian medallion

Found in my family's mementos. No idea what the holes are for but guessing an attempt to discover metal content. Weighs 3.5 ounces, about 2.3/4 inches across. Dates on bottom are 1701-1901. Told that it is 100% #East Armenian language! Text on one: "Servant Of God Father Mkhitar", Text on the other one: "World Alliance of Holy Temple Мkhitarians. 1701-1901". > I want to know WHAT METAL would be used to make this item. I think Bronze. There is a VERY tiny bit of green (copper) showing through. What to you think?
