Way way out of my area but it looks alot like a Savannah river point from the southeast...if its quartzite and being in PA. I would probably say its an Appalachian. Mabey someone closer to you than me being in Florida will know better. Nice little point either way.

thanks,, i think i may have just found it ( conodoquinet/canefield ?) not sure still looking

Probably a Bare Island type - look up the variety of Bare Island Complex points which were usually made from quartzite.

Look up piedmont series points. This includes bare island Newman island etc... It should be included in that.

thanks guys it looks simular to those but with so many types and styles it is hard to figure , but i think we are close

Remember - the point you have is most likely sharpened one or more times, so its narrower than originally.

funny thought about this point it was found in newmanstown pa so would that make it the newmanstown type of point ? as it is almost identical
