Arrow mark in rock

I found this arrow mark in rock near Gardner Lake in Machias,Maine could this be a pointer to lost treasure in that area.

It could be but, not likely. Good chance of it being just a trail marker. This is also a post for the marks and signs forum. However, leaving it here will help eliminate the pareidolia mumbo jumbo that seems to follow such questions.
