Hey Joshr. They are from Texas I am guessing?

:icon_thumright: Cool Points! Hopefully someone from your neck of the woods can help identify them for you. Nice that your Grandfather passed them on to you.

He actually doesn't know where they would have originally came from. Thanks for the replies everyone. HH

I guess this post got passed up or is there no way to tell much about them from my pics. I will never part with them but I always love to know the history. Thanks everyone and HH.

1st no idea
2nd maybe a morrow mtn
3rd its worn down but maybe a Savannah river looks like some type of coastal material or even an adena
4th heavily shapened adena or Mulberry creek
5 maybe a Pocntchatrain

The problem is not knowing what area or the material. Typology is hard maybe someone like Neanderthal or Twitch or some of these other folks can help you. Lets keep bumping it back up It might be a start in the I.D.

Thanks a bunch for the help. Unfortunately, I do not know anything about arrowheads so I can't help you on the material. HH

If you know where your relative that gave these to you lived, that may give the guys some info to work with. If they lived their life in one state, more than likely that's where these pieces were found. Can you provide a state?

Sorry about that. He lived in East and then North Texas for all his life. Thanks everyone.

That bottom one really stands out. They all look genuine and heavily used.

I agree. I wish I knew something about Texas, so I could help.

Surely someone from Texas that knows will come around. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site. HH

I hope I'm not being a bother. I'm just hoping that if I bump it up a texas expert will come along. Thanks a bunch to everyone that has posted. I appreciate y'all trying to help. HH ladies and gents.

there was a nickel beside each one? wow

I suppose your joking with me? Not sure but its there just for size reference. I have no interest in the value of these unless they happen to be worth putting somewhere safe. I know most arrowheads are a dime a dozen. I would just love to know what they are called and maybe the age of them. They mean a lot to me because they come from my grandpa that passed away recently. Thanks everyone and HH.

I figured he was joking or being a smart butt. I'm thick skinned having been in the military so no harm done. These are just very important to me and I know there are a great deal of experts on here. Thanks guys and girls for taking the time to read. HH

Maybe this may help. These classifications are not definate, but point in photo #3. looks similar to a ''bulverde''. Point in photo #4 looks similar to a ''Big Sandy''. Point in photo #5 looks similar to a ''Bonham''. Again, these are not definate classifications.

P.S. Please post your photo in the ''Who Are You'' Forum, so we can know who we are addressing.

Thanks so much Digger. It probably isn't going to get much better than that without you actually holding them. And what do you mean by the other forum. Excuse my ignorance. Do you just want to see a picture of what I look like? Thanks again for the help.

Yeah that is what he wants. It is at the top of the page on the blue section. Who Are You?
