My Grandpa gave me these a few years ago and I came across them today. I realized that the good folks on here could probably tell me something about them. Thanks everyone. HH
Then let's assume, if only for the sake of argument, he found them in Texas. The one at the very top right looks like a Gary point, and they are very common in East Texas. If Neanderthal sees your thread, he can tell you a type for all of them in all likelihood, but subject line would be better put as "Need ID help for arrowheads" or something like that. Google "Gary arrowheads found in Texas", and you can image search the same to compare with the one I refer to. I'm not a Texan but that one looks like a Gary...
The iPhone is all I use. The app is really the nicest thing this site offers. Also, posting a pic of your face is an option. You are in no way obligated to posting a self photo, if it makes you uncomfortable.
They look similar to what I find here in SW AR. The long skinny one bottom right may be made from Ouachita quartzite, named for the mountains here. The bottom one looks like type and material we find here, and of course were are loaded with Gary points as well.
Thanks for the reply. They have tons of value to me but I'm just curious if they have enough monetary value to put in my safe deposit box. It's worth finding out I think. Anyway, thanks so much to everyone that has posted and best of luck to you all.
I have a perfect shadow box in mind. I do hunt for these also. Are there really any that you would find around my area that would be valuable? I've been told that most are a dime a dozen. Thanks again for all the help. You guys are all amazing. HH
