Does anyone have any info on where to purchase a good quaility 12x18x2 wood and glass display cases. I use to be able to find them in antique shops here in Vermont for $38.00 but they were supplied by one person and for some unkown reason he got out of it and there is none to be found. I figured I could pick one up on ebay but found the shipping was all most as much as the case. Most affordable ones I saw where on customdisplays.com. Ive seen a wide variety of prices and most have been in the high range and with shipping makes owning one extremly expensive. I would appreciate and info on where I might find one at a resonable price $35 to $40 with normal shipping charges. I know most times you get what you pay for. I don't need the best but I have seen some junky ones that I would hate to end up with. Thanks.

I get mine from Meadows Display cases. They're about in the price range you're talking about and I think are quite nice. I have a couple dozen.

I just ordered a new case from Kentucky flint works. Wormwood maple. Hasn't come yet but ill show ya when it gets here. Also ordered some Georgetown flint and some misc spalls.

I ordered two 12x18x2 frames from custom displays for a total of $76.00 that includes shipping. Great choice of wood frames and colored felts. Should be here in a few. If they are nice I will probably order a couple more in the near future.

As far as quality, Reaper has the site. However, most of us have collections far inferior to Reaper's. hobby lobby has pretty nice boxes.

I also found some deep boxes at Wally-world.

These may need extra reinforcement, but not bad.

I got 2 Riker frames today for 6.75 each. 12x9 inches.......hard to beat that price and they stack very well.

My last riker frames... Well look for yourself!

That is the glass falling out of the top. I caught it just before it crashed down on my artifacts. Riker frames are pretty good, just be cautious.

I have bought a lot from these folks. Good people and excellent quality.
Indian River Display Case Co.

This guy does custom cases in whatever size you need. Also quality work!

And another case site.

One thing to be aware of, all the case makers use different woods and stains, so if you want them all to match, it is best to buy them all from the same supplier.
