Goesforever, Is it made of lead ? Raised printing plates were made of lead. Todays modern printing plates
are made of aluminum that are smooth to the touch or are of photopolymer (rubber).
It looks to me like a model tag off of an old cutivator/planter. there is also stampings on it i think the # 15
or something

yes back is lead, and front is either brass or copper, there is a picture of the back posted in whats it section

My grandfather had one of those ..It is a harrowing disc for farming . Probably , mid 1930's . I agree , print advertising plate, for the equipment . 8) Back to the disc. This piece of farm equip. was pulled by a tractor and a guy sat in the seat to raise and lower the rows of discs , manually ,with those handles . . Never saw it in action , I remember seeing it before it was sold to a collector . A lot of work and took strength ,like most farming does . Nice finds ! :thumbsup:
