I'm trying to decide which coil would be best (looking for a smaller coil for my AT Pro) for all-around use?

I hear great things about the 5x8 DD coil and not much about the 6.5x9 Concentric...even though the catalog states it has the greatest detection depth? I'm newer and would love to hear your (experienced) thoughts before making the purchase.

Thank you in advance!

Concentric Coils.webpDouble-D.webpThe Concentric coils don`t have a love affair with bottle caps...hope this helps.

Does anyone own both? Can you share the pros & cons?

Hey AT', I have the 5X8 and absolutely love the thing. I'm very new to all this stuff but, the 5X8
has made pinpointing SOOOO much easier for me ( I was struggling with the stock coil ). I've "heard"
that concentric coils pinpoint better than DDs but I don't have enough experience yet to say yeah or nay
(The only concentric I've run has been on My '150) as far as your question goes (Sorry ???).

I'll be watching this thread though to see if I need to order a 6.5X9...lol

Thanks treadhead. I think the DD is the one ill try out. Keep me posted on your experience and finds...ill do the same. Found a .925 Sterling silver ring my first half hour ever...and I've been hooked ever since.

That's awesome man.
