got me a 5X8 coil on the way hope my silver count goes up

It should if you are hunting in really trashy areas...but of course...as you know...you will need to swing it over a silver coin! Even the big stock coil would scream at me if it was over a silver coin. For some reason...it was super hot on dimes. I put the 5X8 on and that is all I use now. The biggest reason for me is the weight and balance. You will love it.

yeah i hunt a lot of trashy areas thats bout all i got to hunt around here. and the weight of a smaller coil would feel better on my back i got a lower shaft and cover with it so i can make faster changes

You'll probably never take it off once you try it! I love mine!

good to hear

Definetly u wont regret a 5x8 best peice I got for the Atpro whole new machine alot more precise

thats great cant wait until it gets here

The 5x8 is the way to go. Pulled a '48 dime today @ 8" with mine in dry hard pack.

Its been getting great depth for me too lately

the grounds been wet here all summer so i should find stuff a little deeper

Just got my 5x8 yesterday. Went back to a super trashy area of a park I tried hunting with the stock coil. Waaaay to much stuff under the coil to really hunt it effectively, so I left it alone. Wow. This new coil is amaaaazing! Left after an hour with $6 or so. Canadian clad adds up!

i got a few yards that im gonna go back over when i get it prob find some more silver that i missed with big coil where its so trashy

Good hunting WV'! The 5X8 made things a lot easier for me in the trashy old park I hunt most. As I mentioned in a couple of other
threads, running in PRO (ZERO) with the stock coil on it sounded like R2D2 having a seizure (There's so much trash in the ground here)
AND, I was never sure just what it was that I was "pin-pointing"(?) lol I'm sure you'll really enjoy your new purchase. It's a LOT
lighter too! (I found that pretty cool) 8-)

Hmm and after all this time I thought bigger was better lol , my at pro should be here in another week or so,
But it's comming with the bigger dd coil , should I be doing better with this at pro setup rather my tek 4000? Hopeing I didn't make a mistake going with the Garrett ?
